New Orleans native Donna Brazile is a veteran Democratic political strategist, adjunct professor at Georgetown University, and on-air contributor to CNN, NPR, and ABC, where she regularly appears on ABC’s This Week. Brazile is also the author of the best-selling memoir Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics, and a syndicated newspaper columnist for Ms. Magazine. She will be speaking on February 28, 7:30 PM at the State Theatre in New Brunswick as part of the SmartTalk connected conversations series.
Ms. Brazile was Vice President Al Gore’s campaign manager in 2000, making her the first African-American female to manage a presidential campaign. She was listed as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women by Washingtonian magazine, The Oprah Magazine chose her as one of its 20 “remarkable visionaries” for the magazine’s first-ever O Power List, and she’s ranked as one of the Top 50 Women in America by Essence magazine.
