Last Friday and Saturday, McCaffrey’s hosted their annual Specialty Food Show. The $5.00 admission went to benefit the Crisis Ministries in Trenton, and the merchants provided a free smorgasbord of food! In addition, a $5.00 coupon was attached to the ticket for any $10+ purchase at the show or in McCaffrey’s the days of the event.
There were local and regional vendors, along with those from around the country. The selection of foods were amazing! Items such as duck pate, Scottish-style smoked salmon, pesto, chicken, beef, lamb, pork, cheeses, pea tendril salad, duck breasts, hoagie samples, pasta, humus, sauces, and many types of beverages, including blk. water were offered to the masses. I attended Friday and Saturday because the food was so good, and left full both times.
blk. is marketed by Albie and Chris Manzo who are cast members of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Albie showed up with two other reps on Friday, and was joined by his brother Chris and his mother, Caroline (one of the housewives) on Saturday to promote the spring water that turns naturally black when mixed with fulvic acid. They signed bottles and posed with fans.
Live music perfumed the air. When I arrived, a gentleman was playing a bagpipe. Later, Princeton’s favorite flamenco guitarist Auturo Romay was entertaining the crowds. Musicians rotated for a nice flow of tunes during the event. The music was fabulous, the food was delicious, parking was ample, the merchants were charming, and the atmosphere was fun. The Manzos from the RHONJ was a bonus to this amazing food show. I can hardly wait for next year’s event!
The proceedes went to 2 organizations! Canine Support Teams and Crisis Ministries
Thanks so much for the correction! My apologies for missing that.
