Origins Free Mini-Facial

October 10, 2011 By

I was cutting through Macy’s at the Quackerbridge Mall one day this past summer with my daughter, and an Origins representative at a kiosk asked if we’d be interested in a mini-facial. I didn’t have much time, but she convinced me to allow my daughter to have a mini-facial that would only take about 15 minutes. I was a little hesitant because she’s very young and didn’t really need a facial, but it was more about spoiling her a bit, so I agreed. Origins has natural and organic skin products, and they’re so confident about them that they give free mini-facials to all who are interested.

Weeks later, I wondered what their products could do for my skin, so I decided to take advantage of their free offer. I called the Palmer Square location, and had to schedule an appointment for the mini-facial. My first surprise is I was told it would be an hour-long treatment, which is the length of a full facial. This included consultation, an explanation of the products, instruction, and of course, pampering, so it’ll take much less time to do it yourself. I sat down in a relaxing lounge chair, discussed the concerns I had about my skin, and before I knew it, my guide Jon had chosen nine products specifically for my skin type. The only disadvantage of this location is it’s small, and people might walk around you while you’re being treated.

There’s a sink at this location, which Macy’s doesn’t provide, and it really helps in the cleansing process, and the warm, moist towels feel nice. It was a very relaxing experience, and I was definitely having a ‘princess moment’. Jon was very personable, extremely knowledgeable about skin and the products, and had magical hands. My face was cleansed, exfoliated, brightened, moisturized, firmed, and massaged. Since this was a mini-facial, there was no steaming nor were there extractions, but it was free and felt just as good! I was so pleased with both my guide and the products, that I bought everything used during my mini-facial, and received a second surprise of a discount and some free samples. Of course, there is no obligation to make a purchase, but I’m sure many people do buy at least one product after the fantastic service.

By the way, they sell products for men as well, so guys, you can have a free mini-facial too. Just make sure you give yourself a shave preferably the day before your mini-facial since they use some products with citrus, which might irritate a recently shaved face.

Origin products are great for a DIY facial, or maintaining healthy skin in between professional facials. I highly recommend scheduling an Origins mini-facial at Palmer Square, and ask for Jon (I really don’t want to share him, but it’s only fair). He invited me back for a follow-up, so I’m going to call him for some more pampering and great conversation.

It was really nice! Khürt, you should schedule yourself for one, and let me know how the male mini-facial is.
