Eno Terra in Kingston, NJ to Host Parkinson Alliance Benefit Serving a Five-Course Meal From a Dream Team!

February 7, 2011 By

Eno Terra‘s Executive Chef Christopher Albrecht, will team up with fellow celebrity Chefs Jonathan Benno and Claudia Fleming to serve a five-course Farm to Table plated dinner with wine pairings to benefit The Parkinson Alliance.

Albrecht, Benno and Fleming have a few things in common. All three are James Beard recognized, they are among the country’s most celebrated chefs, and they have all plated together at Danny Meyer‘s Gramercy Tavern, under  Tom Colicchio. To have this much talent reunited under one roof for such a worthy cause is something to take notice of. This celebrity chef Dream Team is available to the Princeton area for one night only on Sunday, March 6, 2011.

Chef Fleming won James Beard’s recognition of Outstanding Pastry Chef , and is co-owner of the North Fork Table and Inn in Southold, NY with her husband Chef Gerry Hayden. Previously of Per Se, which received James Beard’s award of Restaurant of the Year under his helm, Chef Benno is now the executive chef of Lincoln (the Lincoln Center restaurant). Chef Albrecht, formerly of Craftsteak New York, was recently invited to the Beard House and took center stage to prepare a Farm to Table menu of New Jersey locally grown foods. The trio will share Eno Terra’s kitchen to benefit The Parkinson Alliance, a non-profit organization that funds Parkinson’s disease research. The public is cordially invited.

Eno Terra is a part of the  Terra Momo Restaurant Group, whose co-owners and brothers are Carlo and Raoul Momo. They support regional farmers, and sponsor the arts and environmental education for youth, so it makes sense for then to expand their support to The Parkinson Alliance. The Momo brothers are contributing the use of their restaurant and all food served for the benefit, and Wines of Chile will donate the wine.

This event will certainly bring much deserved recognition to The Parkinson Alliance’s fundraising efforts, who were able to raise over $20 million dollars for research since 1999. I believe it will also showcase the talents of our local Chef Albrecht, and further establish the Terra Momo Group as a major supporter of the community. All parties involved are to be commended for their generosity and goodwill.

There will be a VIP reception beginning at 3 PM, which includes a one and a half hour meet and greet with the chefs, wonderful photo opportunities, light appetizers and wine. The reception, cocktails and a five-course Farm to Table dinner with wine pairings is priced at $350.

For those not opting for the VIP reception, cocktails will be served at 4:30 PM preceding the 5 PM dinner, and costs $200. Though the chefs will be circulating throughout the evening, I can’t imagine there will be opportunities for personal conversations during the cocktail hour and dinner.

All costs are inclusive of tax and gratuities.

This is an amazing opportunity for Central Jersey and beyond, and is definitely in my eyes one of the fundraisers of the year! Where else can you feast on the cuisine of THREE highly acclaimed chefs, converse with these culinary virtuosos, and have photos taken with them all for a great cause? This is a foodie’s dream! Seating is limited, so please secure your spot as soon as possible!
