SmartTalk Comes to New Brunswick, NJ

January 23, 2011 By

SmartTalk is a 5-part series of intelligent, high-profile women speaking to audiences with the goal of inspiration. The Princeton area is fortunate enough to have performances take place at the State Theater in New Brunswick.

These talks are held in an intimate theater to give the speakers a better way to connect with their audiences. Each woman brings her life experiences to the stage, and in her own style will make you think, smile, and get you motivated. There is so much strength in the camaraderie of women, and this will be the place where intellectual, emotional, and inspirational muscles are flexed. At the end of each performance, the speakers engage the audience by answering some of their questions.

This would make an excellent ladies’ night out for women in Central New Jersey. Grab your girlfriends and attend one or more of these performances. I’ll be attending all five. Hope to see you there!

The line-up for New Brunswick in 2011 is as follows:

January 24 – Nora Ephron (film director, screenwriter, author and journalist) Wrote and/or directed the films When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle.

February 15 – Barbara Corcoran (entrepreneur) Known as an investor/shark on ABC’s reality hit Shark Tank.

March 16 – Alison Levine (adjunct faculty member at West Point, founder of Daredevil Strategies and Climb High Foundation) Known for being the team captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expedition.

April 12 – Liz Murray (founder and director of Manifest Living) Known for her life story, which inspired the movie Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story.

May 24 – Anna Deavere Smith (playwright, actress and professor) Appeared in films Philadelphia, The American President, and Rachel Getting Married, and teaches at NYU.

Single, group or full subscription tickets can be purchased directly through the State Theater.
